hi alll.. my epson r210 just started to flash red on both ink and paper lights... they flash alternately and the power light goes off... so when i turn the printer on the power goes on, then after 1 sec they start flashing red and power light goes and it continues to flash red... i think there is a jam somewhere the head might be stuck or something.... any ideas...

Hi there, The same symptoms recently appeared on my 3 year old Epson D68. The red ink and paper lamps flashed alternatively and the green power lamp went off. The inks were fine, no paper jam. Went to the Epson web site and followed their Tech Support links for my printer. Their answer re the flashing lamps? Unknown internal error! Solution? Send the printer back to Epson. Couldn't/wouldn't do that so went through the very messy procedure of cleaning the waste ink pads. Still no joy. At this point I ran out of patience and recycled the printer, minus the inks of course! I didn't buy another Epson!

the lid is open on top of the ink cartridges shut that and it will work

No, its a maintenance error. The waste ink pads are due for replacement and the counter needs to be reset. The info on what to do is on several threads here and a quick search should find them.

isnt there any way we could fix it ?? The same thing is happening to my r210 that what happend to Haris2887. i cant press the ink button or the paper button its all just frozen!!! how do i clean the ink pads?
